With 2008 upon us we regretfully look at 2007 with disappointment and disgust regarding any substance or reality in the news. Not only has the mainstream media flopped on everything important, but the independent media has had their fair share of problems too. And when Fox News went so far as promoting the "office of censorship" we knew MTR had to launch.

More and more people are turning off their televisions and turning on their computers. Whether it’s to watch videos on youtube and liveleak or to read real news from sites like this one, people are finally looking for alternative sources that are unhindered by censorship and propaganda. With that in mind, we feel a new hope that real news can be brought to the attention of the masses and we know that hope can grow into something of substance with a collective effort between our staff and you.

Here at MTR News we are committed to bringing you real news, news the mainstream outlets will often overlook or refuse to report on. Additionally, we will support your voice in the news. We are a dedicated team of concerned people who hate where the country is headed and how our media has been compromised and hijacked by corporate dollars and governmental propaganda based on an Imperialistic agenda that is not of The People. MTR believes YOU have the right to know what’s really going on in your world and we pledge to give you nothing but the truth. MTR’s combined experience of journalists, activists, video producers, and other staff will bring you the news your broadcasters wont.
